Live Edge Slabs

We have a growing inventory of live edge slabs for sale. Wood species include maple, pine, poplar, hemlock, cedar, and oak among others. Live Edge Slabs are generally sawn anywhere from 1 to 3 inches thick.

Our live edge slabs vary in size and shape from rounds to long boards up to 12 feet long. The width of our slabs also vary based on the original log width.

We like to source our logs from other mills. These logs are often called “rejects” because they had flaws or were too large for the mill. The flaws that make a log unfit for lumber are what give the live edge slabs their beauty once sawn open.

Often these logs were left sitting neglected for years before arriving at our mill. This aging process lets in different harmless bacteria or fungus and causes changes in the wood. These changes give the wood unique colors and patterns that you just cannot get from fresh sawn lumber.

You will also find that our prices for live edge slabs are considerably lower than most others out there. The reason for this is that we prefer to sell them rather than hold on to them.

If you require special dimensions for live edge slabs for your next project, please feel free to contact us. If we do not have what you need – we can generally saw it out for you.

Come visit our yard, pick out a log from the stockpile and let us saw out your slabs.
